NSW Warehouse Manager

Paloga has dedicated warehouses across Australia, state of the art handling equipment, the latest information technology, a highly trained and customer focused staff. Paloga also owns and operates a national premium general freight distribution network trading under the Knagge Transport brand.

The succesful applicant will direct and coordinate the activities of the warehouse department to obtain optimum use of equipment, facilities and personal. They will report to the National Warehouse and Logistics Manager.



Specificaly they will perform the following duties;

Develop in discussion with the national warehouse & logistics manager the departments operational policies and procedures.

Implement and enforce the department's operational policies and procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing freight, handling and storage and warehouse inventory.

Review an analyse the expenditure that relate to the operating costs of running the warehouse department

Explore all avenues of cost reduction and prepare analyses of effect on service provision

Highlight areas of saving and implent savings and cost cutting endeavors to maintain profitability of department

Monitor the performance of outside service providers, their competiveness and reliability and search out alternative service providers who are able to provide similiar and or like services

Negotiate service contracts with outside service providers

Evaluate and address the achievement of goals and objectives, budget attainment of management team and conduct and document biannual performance review accordingly

Assist in the enforcement of the companies policies, procedures, safety rules and guidelines and other stauatory rules and regulations

Investigate serious and or repetitive customer service complaints as highlighted by customer service team manager and or general manager

The succesful candidate should have completed secondary education and will be required to work some overtime and some week ends.

The applicant will have a current drivers license, forklift license, a knowledge of OH&S legislation, manual handling responsibilities, it is also preferred that the candidate have dangerous goods training and a first aid certificate.

In addition the candidate will also need to have a sound knowledge of database software, spreadsheet software, word processing software, inventory software and freight linked based transport modules. It would be beneficial if the candidate had and understanding of accounting software and project management software and a forklift license, but not deemed as essential
