National Marketing Manager Paloga is Australia's only national transport, warehousing and logistics company dedicated to the floor covering industry. Our clients include manufacturers, importers, independent retailers and major retail chains throughout Australia. Paloga has dedicated warehouses across Australia, state of the art handling equipment, the latest information technology, a highly trained and customer focused staff. Paloga also owns and operates a national premium general freight distribution network trading under the Knagge Transport brand. The succesful applicant will be responsible for the day to day marketing concerns of the company, pricing schedules for new customers, new lanes. In addition the applicant will liaise with the General Manager and Board of Directors to ensure existing pricing schedules are competitive and realistic when compared to budgeted expectations. This will be achieved by performing the following duties; Identifying market potential, establishing pricing and marketing stratergies, estimating potential sales, exploiting and developing new markets Overseeing introduction of new customers to the organisation, outlining operational changes and expectations, communicating health & safety issues, detailing procedural requirements and allocation of resources Coordinate with customer to identify production schedules and cycles, goals, expectations, assesment criteria, costs, high volume, dangerous, sensitive and fragile product requirements Conduct pre contract discussions with customers regarding contract terms and conditions Communicate with other departments within the organisation to ensure pricing schedules are entered, accounts are invoiced, safety concerns addressed Monitor and review information supplied by customer service department to trouble shoot customer concerns, predict new markets and initiatives Assist general manager, national operations manager, national warehouse & logistics manager in reviewing pricing structures and rate increases Communicate rate increases to major customers in person Communicate rate increases to other customers by written correspondence Ensure all enquiries in relation to scheduled rates and or rate increases are handled in a timely and professional manner The succesful applicant will be required to work some overtime and must be able to travel as part of their ability to meet the objectives of the position. The candidate must have a current drivers license; a first aid cerificate and a knowledge of dangerous goods training is also preferred. The candidate should have a sound understanding of database software, spreadsheet software, word processing software, inventory software and accounting software. It would be beneficial if the applicant had an understanding of internet software, manufacturing software, project management software and freight link based transport modules. The applicant must have a degree in business management or at least 10 years experience in similiar and or related fields.
