Data Entry Clerk Paloga is Australia's only national transport, warehousing and logistics company dedicated to the floor covering industry. Our clients include manufacturers, importers, independent retailers and major retail chains throughout Australia. Paloga has dedicated warehouses across Australia, state of the art handling equipment, the latest information technology, a highly trained and customer focused staff. Paloga also owns and operates a national premium general freight distribution network trading under the Knagge Transport brand. The position of Data Entry Clerk reports directly to the Customer Service Team Manager, the position requires the flexibility to work some overtime. The succesful applicant will be able to enter information into a computer as per company procedures and guidlines in an efficient and timely manner. The position icludes the ability to; Prepare and sort source documents, and identifiers and interpret data to be entered Keep track of received data and source documents in an organised manner Obey and enforce company safety policies and systems of work Liaise with Operations Manager to clarify questions, resolve inconsistenecies or locate missing data Enter alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer following documented training and associated company procedures and guidelines Compare data entered with source document and recognise errors either by self or by manufacturer when inputing data and take corrective action and or inform Customer Service Team Manager Review error reports and enter corrections into computer as per documented training and company guidelines Transmit entered information into databases File source documents after data is entered Prepare overnight bags for transportaion of paperwok to interstate depots Inform Customer Service Team Manager of any safety concerns related to plant and equipment Suggest changes to working conditions and use of equipment, systems of work, to increase efficiency of department and or organisation Suggest solutions to problems when they arise Develop stratergies with other data entry clerks to promote increased efficiency and productivity The successful applicant must have a current drivers license, and preferrably a first aid certificate. In addition the applicant should have a basic understanding of word processing, and spreadsheets. While not essential a knowledge of freight link transport modules relating to inventory control would be beneficial. Ideally the successful applicant will have completed year 10 and or have at least 6 months experience in similiar or related industries.
