Customer Service Clerk Paloga is Australia's only national transport, warehousing and logistics company dedicated to the floor covering industry. Our clients include manufacturers, importers, independent retailers and major retail chains throughout Australia. Paloga has dedicated warehouses across Australia, state of the art handling equipment, the latest information technology, a highly trained and customer focused staff. Paloga also owns and operates a national premium general freight distribution network trading under the Knagge Transport brand. The position of Customer Service Clerk reports directly to the Customer Service Team Manager, the position requires the flexibility to work some overtime. The succesful applicant will be able to perform the activities of the answering telephone enquiries, handle complaints and adjust scheduling concerns. The position icludes the ability to; Answer service calls accurately in adherance to company policies and procedures, with a professional and understanding demeanour Document the demands and requests of customer(s) Document and implement corrective actions, solutions used to rectify customer complaints and prevent reoccurrence Provide detailed answers about service queries and expectations, rates, ETA's and country carriers Assist in maintaining a database of customer service enquiries to monitor trends and develop stratergies Document and report accuracy complaints related to data entry clerks Propose changes to operational procedures, work systems and schedules based on feedback received from customers Obey company safety policies and systems of work Inform Customer Service Team Manager of any safety concerns related to plant and equipment Suggest changes to working conditions and use of equipment, systems of work, to increase efficiency of department and or organisation Suggest solutions to problems when they arise Develop stratergies with other customer service clerks within department to promote increased efficiency and productivity The successful applicant must have a current drivers license, and preferrably a first aid certificate. In addition the applicant should have a basic understanding of word processing, spreadsheets, data base construction. While not essential a knowledge of freight link transport modules relating to inventory control and accounting software would be beneficial. Ideally the successful applicant will have completed secondary education and or have at least 2 years experience in similiar or related industries.
